In India, is National Technology Day, according to National Technology Day history. The reason this date is so important is because on this day, successful nuclear tests were carried out by India in 1998, under the cover name "Operation Shakti.". During these nuclear tests, which were held in Pokhran, Rajasthan, the nation's scientific and military systems underwent a significant change.
A group of scientists and engineers from the Atomic Energy Commission of India and the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) oversaw the successful missions that were conducted on May 11 and 13, 1998. The tests demonstrated India's technological superiority in nuclear science and technology in National Technology Day History.
This day is celebrated in India not only to remember the nuclear testing but also to recognise the wider contributions that science and technology have made to the development and advancement of the nation.
